Chapter 8, Target #2

Qiao Xiao: "Do you know why I'm here?"

Gu Jinghe: "For...me." He said it with some uncertainty.

Qiao Xiao's face quickly returned to its icy expression. "Of course, it's for you."

"I brought you some bread, make do with it, I'm just a worker too."

Qiao Xiao placed the bread on his bedside table, then leaped onto the windowsill, her back to him, like a nimble wildcat. "Then I'll be going now." She turned and jumped down gracefully.
