Chapter 159 Yuangang Town
Chapter 159 Yuangang Town
(The integration pack I played might have been too lazy and directly translated it into Yuangang Town, so let's just call it Yuangang Town.)
(I haven’t finished writing Far Harbor yet, so just skip it if you see this part. It won’t have much impact on the subsequent plot anyway.)
According to the location coordinates sent by Nick, Yi Beiwang exchanged for a small speedboat and brought Philip to the legendary Far Harbor.
Yuangang, a place that is not far away and does not look like a port. No one knows why it is named like this.
The whole island was shrouded in white fog, which looked a bit strange.
From a distance, one could only see some crooked trees standing on the island, and there seemed to be something wriggling on the trees wrapped in mist.
From time to time, roars were heard on the island, which sounded like monsters that Yi Beiwang had never seen before.
It was the end of the year and the temperature was dropping. The cold mist blew onto the speedboat and turned directly into water.
Yi Beiwang and Philip both put on coats, which could keep them warm and slightly conceal their identities, although it might not be of much use.
The fog seemed to contain a certain amount of radiation and electromagnetic interference. Yi Beiwang found that his Pip-Boy was not working properly again. He put it on the speedboat and knocked on it for a long time but it didn't work.
But the radioactive fog is pretty good. They are not afraid of radiation, and it can even refresh them.
Take a breath, hiss~
I felt chilled to the bone, my heart was high, and my head was a little cold.
In a trance, Yi Beiwang seemed to see something flash by in the fog. He turned his head and looked around but saw nothing.
It must be just an illusion, don't scare yourself.
Yi Beiwang shook his head and continued to drive the speedboat through the fog. After searching for a long time, he finally found a place to dock.
It was a small coastal town of moderate size, and its structure was mostly made of wood and stone.
In the fog, there is a flickering light unique to human settlements, giving a feeling of the foggy London city.
There are some devices emitting blue and white light outside the town, which are constantly absorbing the surrounding fog. Upon closer inspection, they seem to be some kind of water condenser.
There is a small harbor on the shore with guards patrolling with torches, and there are also fishing boats docked nearby.
Seeing Yi Beiwang driving a speedboat towards him, the guard hurried back to call for help.
When Yi Beiwang and the other two docked at the shore, several residents of Yuangang came over with harpoons and harpoon guns, staring at them with unfriendly eyes.
One of the old women was arguing with a man in a beanie.
"Alan, relax, maybe they are just some lost visitors."
"Aifeli, you have to believe me, the mainlanders will only bring trouble. We can take care of ourselves and don't need help or trouble."
"Oh my god, Alan, how many times do I have to tell you that we don't need trouble, and we can't create trouble. Put down your damn gun now."
When Yi Beiwang and Philip came up to them, the woman named Ai Feili asked, "Welcome to Yuangang Town, mainlanders, are you lost? We rarely see visitors who come here specially, especially those from Dragon Country."
Alan on the side shook the gun in his hand and shouted: "If you have nothing to do, leave here quickly. We don't welcome unknown strangers."
Ai Feili glared at Allen unhappily, told him to shut up, and then said: "I'm sorry, you came at the wrong time. We are experiencing some difficulties here."
"But what Alan said is right. People who come here usually have bad intentions. So can I ask what you are doing here?"
Yi Beiwang looked around Yuangang Town and asked, "Let me ask first, where is this place?"
Ai Feili replied: "A long time ago, this was a tourist town. The people on the island have lived here for a long time, from before the outbreak of the nuclear war until now, and they have survived tenaciously."
"But now the radiation fog on the island is getting worse and worse. People can only crowd on the shore and live one day at a time."
"We already have enough troubles, I hope you are not new trouble."
Yi Beiwang shook his head and said, "I'm here to look for my friend. He disappeared here."
"Excuse me, have you ever seen a synth named Nick? He's a synth wearing a yellow windbreaker and is a detective."
Ai Feili thought for a moment and said, "Nick... it seems that a synthetic person did come here before, saying that he was here to investigate a missing girl. He seemed to be..."
Boom ~ boom ~ boom ~
Before he could finish his words, a bell suddenly rang in Yuangang Town.
Aifeili's expression suddenly turned ugly, and she cursed inwardly: "Damn it, it's here again so soon."
Then he looked at Yi Beiwang and Philip and said, "Mainlanders, we have some things to deal with now. If you can help us, I can tell you everything I know."
After saying that, he and Alan turned around and ran back to town.
Seeing this, Philip asked in a low voice: "Messenger Yi, what should we do?"
Yi Beiwang replied: "Just go and take a look, it will be considered as a preliminary task."
"Let's go, remember to put on your coat. I have a feeling that Far Harbor may not be as simple as I thought."

Also, as for Yuangang, I plan to let myself go and write about it.
How can I let myself go?
Silent Hill, Resident Evil, SCP, Backroom, Undertale...
I plan to try to integrate these into Yuangang, so that they appear in the form of an illusion in Yibei's eyes.
Not many people read this book anyway, so why not be bolder?
I want to write like this to practice, but I’m afraid of being criticized by you guys.
what do y'all think?
