Chapter 145 I Really Didn't Lie to You
Chapter 145 I Really Didn't Lie to You
When Fu Xingze finally told the truth, Lin Qingran's face turned terribly gloomy. Without the slightest hesitation, she immediately took out her phone to call the police.
Upon seeing this, Fu Xingze burst into tears, clinging tightly to Lin Qingran's leg and pleading.
"Mom, please don't call the police! I know I was wrong, please don't!"
His tears flowed like a burst dam, his face filled with fear and regret.
Lin Qingran glared at him fiercely, but didn't stop what she was doing, and said coldly.
"I only knew you were exceptionally intelligent at such a young age, but I never knew you could be so ruthless."
Fu Xingze cried his heart out, "Mom, I really know I was wrong. I'll never do it again. Mom, please don't call the police!"
His voice was filled with endless despair and pleading, but Lin Qingran remained unmoved and resolutely dialed the police.
Lin Qingran remained unmoved, letting Fu Xingze cry and plead desperately beside her.
Her eyes were resolute, and she gripped her phone tightly, awaiting a response from the police.
Just then, she turned her head and found Fu Xiuheng looking at her with a strange expression.
His eyes were filled with complex emotions: surprise, guilt, and a hint of indescribable pain.
Lin Qingran frowned and said coldly, "What are you looking at? This is the consequence of your poor parenting!"
Fu Xiuheng opened his mouth, but hesitated, and finally just lowered his head, not daring to look Lin Qingran in the eye.
Lin Qingran snorted coldly, ignored him, and continued to focus on her call with the police.
Only after Lin Qingran hung up the phone did she give Fu Xiuheng a sharp, mocking look.
"What, were you trying to stop me from calling the police?"
Fu Xiuheng simply gave a wry smile and slowly said.
“I won’t stop him; this is the consequence he should bear.”
Hearing this, Lin Qingran was full of surprise; she hadn't expected Fu Xiuheng to have such an attitude.
Fu Xingze, standing to the side, completely broke down and cried out loudly.
"Dad, how can you abandon me!"
“If you’re wrong, you’re wrong, and you should admit it,” Fu Xiuheng said.
Seeing that no one was helping him, Fu Xingze completely lost control of his emotions and rushed forward to argue loudly with Fu Xiuheng.
"You heartless father, you don't love me at all! You drove Mom away, and now you want to kill me!"
He waved his fist as he spoke, as if he wanted to make a move.
Fu Xiuheng's eyes widened in anger. Unable to bear it any longer, he shoved Fu Xingze to the ground and roared loudly.
"This is all your own doing! You've committed such a grave mistake, yet you show no remorse!"
Fu Xingze was knocked to the ground by the sudden slap. He stared at Fu Xiuheng in disbelief, his eyes filled with despair and resentment.
"I hate you, I hate you!"
Lin Qingran was shocked by Fu Xiuheng's actions, her eyes widening in disbelief. She hadn't expected Fu Xiuheng to be so resolute towards Fu Xingze.
Looking at Fu Xingze lying on the ground, a pang of heartache instinctively welled up in her heart.
However, this pang of heartache was fleeting, and she quickly realized that she couldn't let such emotions control her.
She bit her lip hard, trying to suppress the tenderness that had just welled up inside her, and quickly regained her cold expression.
She told herself that Fu Xingze had made a grave mistake and must take responsibility for his actions. She couldn't let him escape the punishment he deserved because of a moment of leniency.
Lin Qingran took a deep breath, her eyes turning cold again, as if the heartache she had felt just moments before had never existed.
Fu Xingze got up from the ground, his anger and despair making him lose his mind. He rushed forward again, wanting to bite Fu Xiuheng.
While dodging Fu Xingze's attacks, Fu Xiuheng tried his best to control his wildly twisting body.
At this moment, Fu Xiuheng's face was full of exhaustion and helplessness. He looked at Lin Qingran with a troubled expression and said, "Qingran, you should leave first. It's too chaotic here. I'm afraid you might get hurt."
Lin Qingran stood there, looking at the chaotic father and son in front of her, and hesitated for a moment.
But soon, she nodded and said coldly.
"Okay, you can handle it yourselves."
After speaking, he turned and prepared to leave.
When Fu Xingze heard that Lin Qingran was leaving, he struggled even more frantically and shouted loudly.
"Mom, don't go, don't go!"
Lin Qingran had already reached the door when she suddenly stopped.
A glimmer of hope appeared in Fu Xingze's eyes, thinking that Lin Qingran had changed her mind.
But the next second, Lin Jing said coldly, "Fine, then I won't leave. I'll wait here to make sure you don't lie to me again."
Upon hearing this, Fu Xingze pleaded with Lin Qingran once again.
"Mom, you have to believe me this time. I really won't lie again. Please believe me this time."
His voice was choked with sobs, and his eyes were full of pleading.
However, Lin Qingran remained unmoved. She turned her head and looked at Fu Xingze with icy eyes.
I will no longer believe your words.
Fu Xingze's tears kept flowing down his face. He tried to break free from Fu Xiuheng's restraints and move closer to Lin Qingran, muttering to himself.
"Mom, I was wrong. Please give me one last chance."
But Lin Qingran's expression did not change at all, as if Fu Xingze in front of her was a stranger.
A moment of silence fell over the room, and no one spoke.
Bo Ye walked up and sat down next to Lin Qingran.
His gaze swept over Fu Xiuheng, catching a fleeting glimpse of melancholy on Fu Xiuheng's face.
Bo Ye thought to himself with a sneer: Fu Xiuheng, Fu Xiuheng, you only know how to cherish something after you've lost it. Now that you're in such a sorry state, who can you blame?
Bo Ye gently held Lin Qingran's hand, offering her silent support and comfort.
Lin Qingran turned her head slightly to look at Bo Ye, her eyes softening slightly.
Seeing this scene, Fu Xiuheng felt a mix of emotions, and regret surged into his heart like a tide.
But now it's all too late. He can only silently endure this torment, watching helplessly as his former wife gazes at another man.
Half an hour passed, and the atmosphere remained oppressive and somber.
Just then, Lin Qingran's phone rang. She quickly answered it, and the police came from the other end, informing her that they had gone to the abandoned factory but had not found Lin Yuyan.
Lin Qingran's face instantly turned ashen. She turned her head sharply, glaring at Fu Xingze, her voice trembling with anger.
"Fu Xingze, are you lying to me? Tell me, where is Lin Yuyan?"
Fu Xingze was startled by her roar and said in a tearful voice.
“Mom, I’m not lying to you, I really did hide her there.”
Lin Qingran wouldn't listen to a word. She rushed forward and grabbed Fu Xingze by the collar.
"You're still not telling the truth? Are you trying to drive me crazy?!"
Fu Xingze cried his heart out, his face streaked with tears. He trembled as he raised his hand to his temple and swore an oath to the heavens.
