HP Star Shining

Chapter 39

Chapter 39

At the Hogwarts dinner, everyone enjoyed the meal very much, including those who were going to drink the Polyjuice Potion later.

Except for Su Xingchen, she hasn't found an excuse not to drink that stuff.

If it really worked, she would have tolerated it for the sake of the greater good. But knowing that it was a futile effort and still jumping into the pit, she couldn't bring herself to do it.

As Harry and Ron finished their third Christmas pudding, Hermione led the three of them out of the Great Hall to implement their plan for the night.

"We also need some things for the people we're changing into." In the quiet and deserted corridor, Hermione said lightly, as if she was sending someone to the supermarket to buy a bag of laundry detergent.

"Needless to say, it would be best if you could get something of Crabbe and Goyle. They are Malfoy's good friends, and I think he will tell them everything. Also... we also need to make sure that the real Goyle and Crabbe must not be allowed to intrude when interrogating Malfoy." Hermione looked at Harry and Ron.

"I've planned everything," Hermione continued, ignoring the stunned expressions of the two men as she held up two chocolate cakes. "I've put some common sleeping potions in them. You just have to make sure Goyle and Crabbe find them. You know how greedy they are, they'll definitely eat the cakes. Once they fall asleep, you can pull out a few of their hairs and then hide them both in the broom cupboard."

Harry and Ron looked at each other in disbelief. Although they knew it was one thing, to actually put it into practice...

"Hermione, I don't think..."

"I feel like that would be a huge mistake."

"Without Goyle and Crabbe's hair, the potion won't work." A hard gleam flashed in Hermione's eyes, and she remained unwavering. "You want to interrogate Malfoy, right?"

Su Xingchen felt that at this moment Hermione was possessed by Professor McGonagall.

"Oh, okay, okay." Harry looked frustrated. "What about you? Whose hair are you going to pull out?"

"I already have one." Hermione happily took out a small bottle from her pocket and showed them a hair inside. "Remember the Dueling Club? Millicent deliberately bumped into me that day, but she left this hair on my clothes. She went home for Christmas, and I just had to tell the Slytherins, 'I've decided to come back again.'"

Su Xingchen looked carefully at the "unknown hair" in the bottle. She remembered that it was not Millicent's hair, but a cat hair.

"Well, Hermione..." Su Xingchen clenched her palms. She couldn't say it too affirmatively, so she could only show her doubt to see if she could stop Hermione from drinking it. Anyway, Hermione didn't get involved in it in the end.

"This one doesn't look like a hair."

"As for you, Xingchen..." Hermione glanced at Su Xingchen. She always knew that Su Xingchen was not very willing to drink Polyjuice Potion.

This not-so-scary look made Su Xingchen take a step back, her heart choking with grief. It was over, it was over. She hadn't found a reasonable excuse yet. Whose hair did Hermione want her to pull and drink?

"You don't have to go."

Huh? Su Xingchen was stunned. Is there such a good thing?

Could it be thanks to that Christmas gift? If so, she will never be stingy in the future.

"The three of us discussed it. You and Malfoy used to have a good relationship, and we're worried that you might reveal something in front of him."

"Are you serious!?" Su Xingchen was so excited by the huge surprise that his voice became a little sharp.

"Xingchen, it's not that we don't trust you, we just think it's strange to have so many people showing up at once," Harry explained quickly, and Ron nodded hurriedly, "Yes, that's right."

Both boys were worried that Su Xingchen was angry because she thought everyone didn't trust her, but Hermione was the only one who suspected that she was just happy.

I have to say, girls understand girls better.

Su Xingchen was so excited that he finally didn't have to rack his brains to find excuses and could openly refuse to drink the pot of "green poop".

As for being excluded? She wouldn't worry about that. She knew her three children weren't like that at all.

"No, no, no, I don't think so. This is good." Su Xingchen spoke quickly, fearing that everyone would ask her to participate later.

"You can't go back to the common room later to avoid people seeing you alone and getting suspicious, okay? It would be terrible if someone asks you about it and you're exposed," Hermione warned.

If the expression could be visualized, there should be three black lines on Su Xingchen's forehead.

She was just used to staying quietly in a group of four, not showing off too much so as not to affect them and cause a butterfly effect.

So the consequence is that now everyone thinks she is just a simple little weakling, right?

However...if this result can save her from having to drink the "Polyjuice Potion", it's not impossible.

"I'll go to the front yard. It's snowing outside and there must be no one there now." Su Xingchen thought about it, although it would be a bit cold.

"It's settled. We'll meet up with you after this is over." Hermione said, and hurried off to look at her Polyjuice Potion.

Ron looked at Harry and Su Xingchen with an expression that looked like he was about to face disaster. "Have you ever heard of a plan that had so many problems?"

Su Xingchen looked at them with a little sympathy. There was nothing wrong with the plan, but you would have to drink that pot of "green shit" for nothing.

She patted Ron's shoulder comfortingly. Between Polyjuice Potion and a cold, she chose the cold.

"Then I'll go to the front yard and wait for your news."

Harry nodded, "Be safe."

Su Xingchen decided to go to the common room first, and then sneak out of the lounge door to the front yard, so as to avoid meeting people on the way there directly. If someone asked her why she was wandering around in the snow, what would she say?

The empty corridor was dimly lit by candlelight and filled with deep silence. It was completely devoid of the warmth found in the auditorium and common room. Su Xingchen wrapped his clothes tightly around him and couldn't help but quicken his pace.

After a short distance, she was certain that there was a faint sound behind her.

No way! I can't be that unlucky! I hope it's not Big Brother Basilisk!

"Who?" Su Xingchen asked vigilantly, and only when he heard the footsteps clearly did he breathe a sigh of relief and turn around.

"Stars."

The dim candlelight gradually illuminated the boy who was getting closer and closer. His pale face looked a little haggard, and his blue-gray eyes no longer had the boldness and confidence they had before, but seemed a little dim and unclear.

Su Xingchen breathed a sigh of relief again.

No way! Why is Draco here? What will happen to Harry and the others if he's here?

She remembered that when Harry and the others came out of the potion, they met Draco, and went back to the common room with him to extract information from him. Where was the shadow of "Goyle" and "Crabbe" around him now?

"I'm very sorry."

Draco lowered his eyes. Su Xingchen had ignored him for almost half the semester. Sometimes, even when they saw each other, she would deliberately turn her head and pretend not to see.

So he thought that Su Xingchen was probably really angry and didn't want to pay attention to him anymore.

However, Su Xingchen was still in shock after meeting Draco, and she kept complaining in her heart: "Why are you here to apologize to her instead of going back to the lounge at night? If you have done anything to let her down, go back to the dormitory immediately. Someone is looking for you."

Seeing Su Xingchen looking confused, Draco couldn't help but purse his lips.

"I just acted impulsively on the Quidditch pitch earlier."

At this moment, Su Xingchen's stupid mind finally came to its senses, "Regarding that matter, I think the person you should apologize to is not me."

Draco's expression became even uglier. Su Xingchen took a closer look at him. Just as Hermione said, this kid's face was as black as the bottom of a pot recently.

When you look closely, it's even darker.

"If there's nothing else, I'll leave first." So you should hurry back to Slytherin too.

After Su Xingchen finished speaking, she turned around and left without waiting for Draco's answer.

Unexpectedly, as soon as he took a step, someone grabbed his wrist and pulled him back with force.

Su Xingchen staggered a step and stood firm, lowering his head and constantly giving himself mental strength: Don't be angry, don't be angry, don't argue with a child, it's just that I'm too short and can't stand steadily.

"What on earth would it take for you to..." continue to be friends with me? Draco didn't finish.

Su Xingchen, having mentally prepared herself, raised her head expressionlessly. The culprit stared at her with red eyes. She just wanted to send this young master back to Slytherin as quickly as possible. The effect of the Polyjuice Potion was only an hour!

"I told you, I'm not the one you need to apologize to. If you apologize to Hermione in person, then our friendship can continue. If you can't do that, then there's no need for this little boat of our friendship to exist."

This is what it means when we say that the boat of friendship can capsize at any time.

Su Xingchen felt the claws on her wrist loosen, and Draco's face became even more gray and lost.

She knew that asking such a stubborn person to apologize to his inner "Mudblood" would be as bad as asking him to die.

But this is a matter of principle and cannot be compromised.

"If you have nothing else to do, then I'll leave first." This time no one stopped her.

Su Xingchen thought for a moment and turned back to the person standing there motionless and said, "You should also go back to the Slytherin common room. It's too cold here."

Su Xingchen left after saying that, but she didn't notice that the boy behind her seemed to have a faint light flash in his eyes because of her words.

"You won't just stay there like an idiot, right? It's so cold." Su Xingchen muttered to himself on the way from the Gryffindor common room to the front yard.

What could she do? She couldn't just send them back; that would be too suspicious.

Fortunately, Su Xingchen did not meet anyone along the way.

In the deserted front yard, Su Xingchen quietly watched the huge snowflakes falling, feeling a very strange feeling in his heart.

Last year on her birthday, she was outside in the cold wind watching the snowflakes. This year, by some strange coincidence, she is outside in the cold wind watching the snowflakes again. Will she still be outside in the cold wind watching the snowflakes next year?
