Chapter 132 Acquiring a Dragon Soul Mine
Chapter 132 Acquiring a Dragon Soul Mine
Even though there was nothing beneath her feet, Ning Xiaoxi felt as if she were standing on solid ground. It was a circular space, about a hundred square meters in size.
The large goose egg lay quietly in Ning Xiaoxi's arms. As she stepped into the center of the space, clear patterns began to appear on the egg's surface. These patterns were also white, only visible when there was a flowing light. The patterns progressed from simple to complex, until the entire egg was covered with intricate and difficult-to-understand patterns, and the flowing light on the patterns turned golden.
After the golden light illuminated all the patterns on the eggshell, the radiant light began to connect with the spirit crystals on the outer wall of space. After flashing like blood vessels, the light solidified into golden spirit crystal veins. The egg was like a heart receiving a bloodline connection, linking its bloodline with the dragon's body and fusing together.
After the two thickest spirit crystal bloodlines were connected, a gentle force pushed Ning Xiaoxi back towards the cave entrance she had just come from.
Ning Xiaoxi watched as the egg ceased to resemble an egg. Golden light sliced through the shell, and inside, a small, illusory silver dragon emerged, swirling with mist. Bloodlines connected to the little silver dragon, which began to expand its body, slowly merging with the giant spirit crystal dragon.
Suddenly, the heart detached from the chandelier and flew inside. Ning Xiaoxi reached out to grab it, but grasped at empty air. She watched as the heart replaced the large goose egg, its blood vessels connecting with the surrounding vessels.
Ning Xiaoxi reluctantly withdrew her outstretched hand.
"boom!"
"Bang! Bang!"
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
After all the blood vessels are connected, the heart begins to beat steadily and powerfully.
Then, within the heart, another ethereal figure seemed to materialize, like a fairy, and merged back into the spirit crystal dragon.
The entire spirit crystal dragon seemed to come alive. Although it was still lying in this space, it had a feeling that it wanted to soar into the sky.
Ning Xiaoxi rubbed her eyes, unsure if she had just seen a phantom.
Looking at the spirit crystal space that had closed again, and at the strategist's heart inside, had he somehow found her a body? Ning Xiaoxi gently stroked the spirit crystal, only to find her hand suddenly empty. Looking up, she saw the dragon was gone.
there is none left?
Ning Xiaoxi looked around, and it really was gone. Me? My enormous spirit crystal dragon, how could it be gone?
The crystal chandelier, however, happily returned to its cave.
Ning Xiaoxi immediately checked the cave and discovered that behind the Spirit Crystal Mountain behind the original main hall, a giant spirit crystal dragon lay horizontally, its entire body shrouded in azure energy. "Oh dear, has it cast an illusion spell on me?"
Ning Xiaoxi grabbed Ling Jingxin and quickly left the cave. Looking at the remaining large area of spirit crystal mine, she exclaimed, "Come on, let's start harvesting!"
It took Ning Xiaoxi a full half hour to collect all the spirit crystal ore into her cave. Standing at the entrance of the main hall, gazing at the endless spirit crystal vein shrouded in azure light in the distance, she smiled with satisfaction.
However, when she left the cave and found herself in complete darkness, she felt heartbroken.
Ling Jingxin quickly transformed into a crystal lamp again to provide light for her.
How are we going to get out?
Crystal Chandelier continued to act as a guide, leading the way, with Ning Xiaoxi following behind.
"Boom!"
"Boom!"
What's that sound? Ning Xiaoxi turned around, and the crystal chandelier rose as well. She saw that in the empty space behind her, black soil began to fall from above. Because of the great height, it looked like a rain of black soil.
"It's going to collapse!" Ning Xiaoxi turned and ran.
What followed was no longer the rumble of the fall, but the thunderous sound of the mountain collapsing.
A dark, indistinct patch appeared ahead. Ignoring what it was, Ning Xiaoxi threw a punch. Clearing a path ahead and crashing down behind, Ning Xiaoxi moved like a groundhog, quickly making her way under the crystal chandelier.
After throwing countless punches, Ning Xiaoxi finally broke out of the dark mountain.
The blinding white light made Ning Xiaoxi unable to open her eyes. The Spirit Crystal Heart obediently transformed into a pair of wings, which spread out against Ning Xiaoxi's back and flapped to carry her away.
After Ning Xiaoxi's eyes adjusted to the light, she realized that she had emerged from the mountainside, and what she saw was a world of ice and snow, with the entire mountain covered in ice and snow.
She flapped her wings and circled in mid-air for a while. All around her were mountains, and the spot she had emerged from was right in the middle of several peaks, a vast expanse of white. Looking back at the mountainside she had emerged from, it was now covered by rolling snow. If it weren't for the snow still sliding down, she wouldn't have been able to recognize where she had come from.
The rumbling sound could still be faintly heard.
Ning Xiaoxi looked at the snow-white mountain peak with some confusion. There was none of the strange sights she had seen at the foot of Kongsang Mountain, nor the distinct seasons on the mountaintop. She wasn't even sure if that snow-covered peak was Kongsang Mountain. Recalling the extraordinary scenery she had witnessed at Kongsang Mountain felt like a dream. Would those sights never be seen again?
After circling for a while, Ning Xiaoxi flapped her wings and flew towards the depression between the peaks of Kongsang Mountain. The scattered spiritual energy absorbed from the spirit crystal vein had filled her entire body. She was no longer covered in hard crystals as before; she had shown signs of softening, and her spiritual energy flowed much more smoothly.
Ning Xiaoxi squinted. It was already dusk, and the golden sunlight refracted through the snow, dazzlingly bright.
[Insightful Eyes!]
On the mountain peak ahead, several snowmen, hidden in the snow and ice, were shivering. Looking further up, there seemed to be a shimmering silver barrier between the peaks.
Ignoring the snowmen, they weren't the source of the demonic aura she had sensed earlier.
【Xiao Xi, there's a demon!】
[It's not a demon yet, just a snowdrift that has gained sentience.]
It's a demon!
[It's not a demon, you'll find one once you cross the mountain! Don't waste your energy on this little thing!]
【Oh! 】
Ning Xiaoxi used the mountain wind to glide up the mountain.
Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a few white weasels, a few snow rabbits, and a few snow foxes. However, these little creatures were all huddled under the snow, shivering. She could see remnants of demonic blood in them, but now that she had taken the spirit crystal mine, without a source of spiritual energy, the chances of these bloodlines becoming demons were almost nonexistent.
Between the mountain peaks, in front of a silver barrier, three snow tigers and two snow foxes lay prostrate on the snow, facing the barrier.
Ning Xiaoxi looked at the five beasts. Yes, beasts, not yet demons.
When Ning Xiaoxi flew to the mountain hollow, the five beasts didn't even glance at her, remaining prostrate. Only then did Ning Xiaoxi realize that the five beasts were already dead. Somewhat puzzled, Ning Xiaoxi reached out and touched the silver barrier. There was a fluctuation of spiritual energy; the spiritual energy in her palm flowed along with the fluctuations on the barrier, and then a passage large enough for one person to pass through appeared on the barrier.
Ning Xiaoxi stepped through the barrier and was stunned by the sight before her.
