Chapter 989: Love Is Like Candy, Sweet to the Point of Sadness (Part 9)
Perhaps this is the difference between university and high school. Back then, although some approached her because of her identity, at least there was some sincerity, not as opportunistic as now.
But Su Weiyi didn’t mind; how those people acted was their business, and she continued to remain indifferent.
The design sketches for the competition had already been submitted. As the semester came to an end, Su Weiyi finished her last exam and happened to see Sheng Yanxiao standing at the entrance of their college. The Computer Science Department had the earliest vacation in the entire university, but Sheng Yanxiao did not go home first; he stayed in the apartment, waiting to leave with her.
Su Weiyi, carrying her bag, quickly ran to him.
Today was especially cold; it even snowed a bit in the morning. Su Weiyi came out from the warm classroom, and spoke, white mist escaping her mouth: "Why are you waiting here? Isn’t it cold?"
Sheng Yanxiao took her bag with a smile: "Not cold, let’s go."
The two walked side by side in the campus, heading towards the university gate. This year, even before they could book a room, Mr. Sheng had already arranged a travel plan, waiting for Su Weiyi to finish her exams so they could head straight to the airport.
When they reached the gate, the driver who was supposed to pick them up had arrived. But today, for some reason, there were many cars parked in front of Q University’s gate, making it impossible for their car to pull up, and it could only wait two hundred meters away in a parking lane.
Sheng Yanxiao and Su Weiyi scanned the area and found the driver, Uncle Li, who was supposed to pick them up. Just as they were about to go to him, a bright figure suddenly appeared before them.
"Sheng Yanxiao."
Su Weiyi immediately looked at the person.
The person was wearing a white turtleneck sweater dress. The dress, designed to hug the body, came to about five centimeters above the knee, with black high-heeled boots on her feet, and a fiery red down jacket wrapped around her.
At first glance, it looked warm, but Su Weiyi couldn’t help but shiver as she looked at the fair thighs exposed to the cold; it’s already winter, isn’t she cold dressed like that?
Although it looked nice, she just couldn’t understand.
The person also saw her, smiling brightly on her beautiful face: "Hello, sister."
If earlier, when she called Sheng Yanxiao by name, it didn’t sound too intimate, this "Hello, sister" undoubtedly brought her relationship with Sheng Yanxiao closer.
In school, it’s rare for anyone to call someone ’sister.’ Even for those older, they usually use "senior sister"
or "senior brother" as terms of address.
Su Weiyi could naturally understand what this girl meant by calling her sister.
Her gaze shifted to Sheng Yanxiao, with some confusion.
However, Sheng Yanxiao didn’t even glance at the person, intending to walk straight past her.
"Sheng Yanxiao, with the weather being so cold, sister isn’t wearing much. I happened to drive here today; where are you going? I can give you a ride."
As she spoke, she pointed to a white Mercedes five meters ahead.
Su Weiyi remained silent, feeling amused inside. This girl was truly bold, daring to block Sheng Yanxiao directly.
Others might not understand him, but she knew him well. Sheng Yanxiao generally maintained the necessary politeness. Although he could seem a bit distant, he wouldn’t make someone feel overly uncomfortable. But if he directly ignored someone, it could only mean he found the person in front annoying.
The girl didn’t seem to notice at all and continued to persist. Su Weiyi was certain that if she didn’t move aside, Sheng Yanxiao would soon start his verbal assault.
This understanding flashed through her mind, and sure enough, the young man in front spoke: "Move aside. A good dog doesn’t block the road, thank you."
