Chapter 301 - 300: Shadow War
Chapter 301 - 300: Shadow War
"Let’s go!"
At Buni’s command, he and the Dragon Hunting Dog swiftly made their way to the village.
"They’re all dead!"
As soon as Buni entered the village, he saw that everyone inside had been slaughtered. A cold glint flashed in his eyes.
After unifying the Badge World, Shu Feng had begun to develop it as his personal stronghold. He established schools and transported all sorts of supplies, making sure everyone had enough food to eat, clothes to wear, and could lead comfortable lives.
Within the Badge World, thanks to the round-the-clock promotion by the powerful Tage Mulis, Shu Feng had been mythologized, becoming a great leader in the hearts and minds of many young Badge Masters.
Seeing his great leader’s territory desecrated, Buni was naturally filled with fury.
’I need to report this to my superior!’
Buni quickly took out a Spiritual Walkie-Talkie and reported everything that had happened.
The Spiritual Walkie-Talkie was a Secret Treasure developed by the Human Race on the Void Demon Battlefield. Using Spirit Stones as its power source, it could communicate over a range of 3,000 kilometers.
"Have the Dragon Hunters move out. Hunt down the enemy. Capture them alive if possible."
The reply came quickly through the Spiritual Walkie-Talkie.
Buni patted the Dragon Hunting Dog. "Hey, partner, I’m counting on you! Hunt down those enemies and try to take them alive. If you sense any danger, it’s fine to just kill them all."
The Dragon Hunting Dog gave a slight nod. Its nose twitched, and with a faint blur, it shot off like a Ghost in the direction of the five men in black.
Buni followed silently behind the Dragon Hunting Dog.
The five men in black silently reached the entrance to another village. Their leader gave a hand signal, and the other four men immediately moved like Ghosts, using Stealth to advance on the village.
Suddenly, the Dragon Hunting Dog emerged from the darkness. In a flash of Lightning, it appeared behind the squad leader. Its claw struck his head, easily piercing his Membrane of Spiritual Power. With a vicious tug, it tore his head clean off and tossed it aside.
’So strong! I can’t believe this Dragon Hunting Dog is this powerful... It’s terrifying!’
Hiding in the shadows, Buni gasped when he saw this. The Dragon Hunting Dog’s terrifying power far exceeded his imagination. He knew it was strong, but he never thought it was *this* strong.
With their leader dead, the faces of the other four men in black paled, and they all drew their black Spiritual Spears.
The Dragon Hunting Dog blurred, appearing before one of the men. It slammed a claw into his chest, caving it in. The man coughed up a spray of blood and collapsed, countless bones shattered.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Three black Spiritual Light Beams shot toward the Dragon Hunting Dog like falling stars.
A Residual Shadow flickered, and all three black Spiritual Light Beams hit nothing but air.
The Dragon Hunting Dog appeared before another man in black and slammed into him, sending him crashing to the ground with countless broken bones.
The Dragon Hunting Dog blurred again, moving like Lightning. It twisted its body, easily dodging the shots from the two remaining men. It rushed into one man’s arms, caving in his chest with a swipe of its claw. Then, with a few leaps, it appeared before the last man, tore his head off with one claw, and casually tossed it aside.
’So strong!’
Buni emerged from the shadows. A look of shock crossed his face as he stared at the three men, who were still barely breathing on the ground. He quickly subdued them, dislocating their jaws and joints before using the Spiritual Medicine he carried to keep them alive.
That night, a hundred such Spiritualist squads invaded Shu Feng’s Mire Dragon Territory, brutally slaughtering its people and destroying its farmland.
Although Shu Feng had dispatched Hunting Dog squads to patrol the Mire Dragon Territory, they only managed to eliminate eighty-nine of the Spiritualist squads. The remaining eleven squads, sensing that things were amiss, immediately retreated without advancing further, allowing them to escape.
「Inside the Mire Dragon Marsh.」
A fifty-meter-long, Spirit Venerable Level Swamp Tentacle Horror with eight massive tentacles was locked in a brutal struggle with a Swamp Five-headed Serpent. Its huge tentacles were wrapped so tightly around the serpent that its bones creaked, on the verge of snapping at any moment.
"Come forth! Swamp Dominator!"
With a wave of his hand, Shu Feng summoned the sixty-meter-long Swamp Dominator.
The moment the Swamp Dominator appeared, it activated the Power of the Swamp, parting the marsh. It shot forward like a bolt of Lightning, pouncing on the Swamp Tentacle Horror.
The Swamp Tentacle Horror shot out four incredibly thick tentacles, attempting to entangle the Swamp Dominator.
CRUNCH! CRUNCH!
The Swamp Dominator opened its cavernous jaws and bit down ferociously, severing all four of the incoming tentacles. In the next instant, it was upon the Swamp Tentacle Horror. Its six heads bit down and tore violently, ripping the creature into several pieces and splattering blood and viscera everywhere.
An excited glint flashed in Shu Feng’s eyes as he watched. ’Amazing! It’s the Swamp Dominator, all right. Truly powerful!’
The Mire Dragon Marsh was home to all kinds of ferocious swamp monsters. The Swamp Tentacle Horror was a terrifying beast on par with a forty-meter-class Mire Dragon, yet it had been effortlessly crushed by the Swamp Dominator. This was a testament to the Swamp Dominator’s terrifying power.
Under the Swamp Dominator’s protection, Shu Feng acquired another 20,000 Source Energy, three Mire Dragon Fruit Forests, and hundreds of Swamp Poison Bee nests from the Mire Dragon Marsh. His gains were immense.
"Shu Feng, it’s me, Ye Mingxi! Last night, our Mire Dragon Territory was invaded. They slaughtered six thousand of our people and also contaminated and destroyed much of our farmland. The enemy sent Spiritualist Death Warriors. We don’t have much intelligence on them at the moment."
Shu Feng’s Spiritual Walkie-Talkie beeped at his waist. He picked it up, and Ye Mingxi’s voice came through.
’Spiritualist Death Warriors! The Zhu Clan?’
A cold glint surged in Shu Feng’s eyes.
On Blue Star, with its liberal ideals and modern progress, it was extremely difficult for any faction besides a national government to cultivate Death Warriors. However, the Zhu Clan and the other major First-Grade Noble Families all possessed vast territories equivalent to small nations. They could, of course, raise plenty of Spiritualist Death Warriors.
