Chapter 157 The Anaconda Disaster
Chapter 157 The Anaconda Disaster
Under my cover, I finally managed to rescue the snow rabbit. Then I told Dafu to take the snow rabbit and escape first, while I held off the snake called Chuxin.
I only need to stall him; I don't need to kill him or hurt him, so I'm not under that much pressure.
However, in terms of size difference, the visual impact is still quite significant. At least right now, if I'm not careful, that snake could eat me in one bite.
The attack on the snake's eyes was a surprise attack, so getting close to the snake is now impossible, and even escaping for one's life is extremely difficult.
I lured the snake away in the opposite direction while waiting for Snow Rabbit and the others to escape. In any case, the more time I gained, the safer Snow Rabbit and the others would be.
So I kept rushing to one side, the snake still chasing closely behind. After flying forward for a while, I saw a clump of grass and rushed in without hesitation.
Even after I rushed in, the snake kept chasing me, relentlessly following behind. All I could hear was the terrifying sound of the snake crawling through the grass.
Every now and then, the snake below would suddenly leap out of the grass like a carp leaping over the dragon gate and bite me.
Before, I was thinking of trying to lure the snake away as far as possible, but now I've completely given up on that idea. Now I'm only thinking about how to escape from under the snake's mouth, and I've completely forgotten where I flew and where I am.
Anyway, I just need to get out of there first. I saw a hillside not far ahead, and I knew that once I flew over that hillside, the snake would definitely not be able to catch up with me.
So I rushed towards the hillside as fast as I could, to see how that damned snake could chase me now. Could it fly or something?
Just as I flew away from the hillside and into the middle, I thought I had escaped, but I clearly underestimated the snake's abilities. I only felt a violent impact, and then I felt a sharp pain. Instantly, I lost the ability to fly and fell into the ravine.
As I fell, I saw the snake coiled around a tree on the hillside, and it hit me with its head, which caused me to fall.
I tried desperately to flap my wings, but because of the impact, my wings were hit and I couldn't muster any strength.
So he fell downwards, into the abyss.
Fortunately, there were some weeds and other things in the ravine, which reduced the weight and prevented him from falling directly to the bottom and dying. It was a stroke of luck in all of misfortune.
I tried to climb out with great difficulty, but I only felt a wave of dizziness and then I passed out.
I don't know how long I was unconscious, or where I was. I just felt an unusual pain in my head, as if it was about to split open.
I managed to move my body with some difficulty. Although it still hurt a little, I could feel myself again, which meant I could move. Thankfully, I wasn't crippled by the fall.
Just as I woke up from my coma and was about to go find Dafu and the others, I suddenly heard heart-wrenching singing coming from below.
Heavens, why did you hastily hand him over to the autumn wind? Earth, why did you hastily embrace him?
I would rather die than let him live, so that we can lead our soldiers into battle again. Who can compare to his dedication and selflessness? Who can match his lifelong integrity?
Oh... Oh...
Heavens, you are so unfair! Earth, you are so heartless!
I was moved to tears myself. What kind of great figure must have died to sing such a sorrowful song?
Below, a large number of flies gathered and walked sadly toward one place. Although I didn't know why, one thing was certain: I must not let them find me now.
If this is discovered, I doubt I'll even know how I died.
But that damn Murphy's Law worked on me again this time; the more I didn't want something to happen, the more likely it was to happen.
I was just thinking that I should let them not find out. As long as I don't move or make a sound, I can let them slowly walk out, and then I can figure out a way to go up.
But the weeds that caught me suddenly broke at that moment, and I fell straight down into the swarm of flies below.
"Ah..." I cried out involuntarily, filled with fear whether facing the high sky or the swarms of flies below.
I'm almost in despair. How could something so unlucky happen? What did I do to deserve this? Is it really that hard to be a good person?
I thought I was going to die. I felt a deep fear of both the pain of falling to the ground and the swarms of flies, so I closed my eyes.
But the scenario I imagined of falling to the ground and being thrown around didn't happen; it was as if something caught me.
I opened my eyes very carefully, wanting to see what was going on. After I opened my eyes, something happened that I couldn't understand at all.
The flies that used to sing that song have stopped. They've all knelt on the ground, bowing their heads towards me, just like they're worshipping a god.
This scene clearly startled me. What's going on? There are several tall, burly flies carrying me around. I guess it's thanks to them that I didn't fall to the ground.
But everything in front of me was so bizarre. What was going on? I was completely dumbfounded and looked awkwardly at the flies below.
I didn't speak, and they were unusually quiet below as well. They didn't speak either, and even knelt there quietly without glancing at me.
What's going on? What's happening? What's going on?
I was so embarrassed and didn't know what to do.
"Um..." I wanted to say something, but I didn't know what to say, so I hesitated and said two words.
I had barely uttered those two words when a very old fly came up to me and came to my side.
"What can I do for you?" the old fly asked very respectfully.
"What's going on? Did you mistake this fly for a real fly?" I asked curiously, feeling quite uneasy about this inexplicable treatment.
"You are our prince," the old fly replied very respectfully.
"What?" I exclaimed in surprise. It was an exclamation of utter astonishment. How could I have inexplicably become someone's emperor?
Just because I fell from the sky? Just because I fell from the sky, I became someone's prince? That's ridiculous!
What's going on.
